Each of our signature cocktails is taste-tested in-house and approved by our founders.

Taconic Smoked Old Fashioned

  • Bourbon barrel stave

  • Blow torch

  • 2 oz. Taconic Dutchess Private Reserve Bourbon

  • 1 splash of Taconic maple syrup

  • Dash Angostura bitters

  • 1 maraschino cherry

  • 1 orange twist

Light the barrel stave with torch until small flame emerges.  Place rocks glass upside down on stave & hold until glass fills with smoke.  Scoop ice into glass.  Add bitters, maple syrup and Bourbon.  Garnish with orange twist and cherry

 

Taconic Whiskey Sour

  • 3 ounces Taconic Dutchess Private Reserve Bourbon

  • 1 egg white

  • 3 ounces fresh lemon juice

  • 2 ounces Taconic Maple Syrup

Place ingredients in cocktail shaker with ice.  Shake vigorously to emulsify egg white.  Strain into two rocks glasses. Garnish with Luxardo maraschino cherry.

 

Autumn in New York

  • 3 ounces Taconic Bourbon

  • 2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice

  • 1 teaspoons Taconic maple syrup

  • ½ cup apple cider

  • Cayenne pepper

Fill two glasses and a cocktail shaker with ice. To shaker, add bourbon, lemon juice, maple syrup, and apple cider; shake vigorously. Strain into glasses and top each with a pinch of cayenne pepper, if desired.  (optional: rim glass with maple syrup and dip in crushed cider-donut bits!) 

 

Taconic Mint Julep

  • 6 fresh mint leaves

  • 1 ounce bourbon

  • 2 teaspoons maple syrup

  • 4 ounces lemonade

  • 1 sprig fresh mint

  • 1 lemon wedge

Muddle mint leaves in cocktail shaker. Add bourbon, maple syrup, and lemonade.  Shake and serve over ice.  Garnish with mint sprig and lemon wedge.

 

Belmont Breeze

  • 1 and 1/2 ounces bourbon

  • 2 ounces lemonade

  • 1 ounce pomegranate juice

  • Dash of grenadine

  • Lemon slice

Pour into shaker w ice. Shake & strain into rocks glass.  Garnish w lemon.

 

Nor’Easter

  • 4 oz. Taconic Bourbon

  • 1 oz Taconic Maple Syrup

  • 1-2 oz. fresh lime juice

  • 2 oz. Jamaican ginger beer

Combine first three ingredients & chill in refrigerator. Pour over ice & top with ginger beer.  Garnish w lime wedge

 

Taconic Harvest Moon

  • 2 ounces Taconic bourbon

  • 1 ounce Taconic maple syrup

  • 1 ounce orange liqueur (Grand Marnier or Cointreau)

  • 1 clementine, juiced

  • 1/2 lemon, juiced

Fill shaker halfway with ice. Pour in bourbon, maple syrup, orange liqueur, clementine juice, and lemon juice. Shake until chilled.  Strain into a chilled glass. Garnish with orange/clementine slice.

 

Copper’s Tail

  • 2 oz. Taconic Bourbon

  • ½ oz. allspice dram

  • ½ oz. simple syrup

  • ¾ oz. fresh lime juice

  • Dash of Angostura bitters

Place ingredients in cocktail shaker with ice.  Shake and strain into chilled coupe glass.  Garnish with twist of lime peel.

 

Hot Toddy

  • 2 oz. Taconic Bourbon or Rye Whiskey

  • 2 TBSP Honey

  • 1 oz. fresh lemon juice

  • 6 oz. hot black tea

Combine bourbon, honey and lemon juice in a mug.  Top with hot tea.  Garnish with lemon slice.
